Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently attended the World Pickleball League launch in Mumbai, where she expressed her interest in inviting Aamir Khan for a game. Growing up in a middle-class family where the focus was on academics, Samantha discovered a passion for pickleball. Her next appearance will be in Citadel: Honey Bunny, set to release on November 7, 2024.

“I think Aamir Khan, because I believe he has already shown interest in this sport, and why not aim high?” she remarked.

Samantha also touched on her personal journey, explaining how her upbringing in a middle-class family, where academics took precedence over sports, led her to stumble upon and fall in love with pickleball. “Pickleball is a sport that isn’t intimidating and is accessible to everyone. Even at my age, I can still pick it up,” she mentioned.

The World Pickleball League, founded by CEO Gaurav Natekar, seeks to raise the sport’s profile and introduce it to a wider audience, with Samantha’s involvement expected to play a crucial role in this effort. Professionally, Samantha is preparing for her next big release, Citadel: Honey Bunny, directed by Raj & DK and Sita Menon. The film, featuring Varun Dhawan, Simran Bagga, Kay Kay Menon, and Emma Canning, is scheduled for release on November 7, 2024.
