The Greedy Closet on Zee Café has already aired its first two episodes this weekend and the fans seem to go ga-ga over the styling of their favourite celebs by the top designers. The host of the show Monica Dogra does her best in bringing out some of the best tips and secrets from both the celebs and the designers. Each episode brings a unique insight, taking us through the stores of some of the best fashion designers of India along with revealing the style inspiration and statements of our favourite television celebs.
Karan Wahi and Kunal Rawal
On Saturday, at 7:30 PM Monica Dogra brings Karan Wahi and Kunal Rawal who discuss the changing scenario for men’s styling. ‘Gone are the days when women would take more time. Now even men equally think and style before stepping out.’ Speaking about his style, Karan Wahi reveals that he likes to carry anything that comforts him. He also spoke about his fashion line where he believes in selling anything that he would like to carry. The actor also discussed the low phase of his life when he lost close to 4 films since a film that he shot with a big banner was never released. Throwing light on the positive aspect, he also said that he shot for ‘Sacred Games’ on the same dates which proved to be a huge hit. Before this, Zee Café will also bring another episode of the show at 7:00 PM which hosts Anita Hassnandani with designer Tarun Tahilani who was the first Indian designer to have his show at Milan fashion week.
On Sunday, at 7:00 PM the guests will witness the dynamic Surbhi Chandana being styled by the most loved bridal dress designer Varun Bahl. The designer revealed about his passion for designing stating that he designed his first apparel when he was still in school. Surbhi also made interesting revelations about her journey in her chat with Monica. The same day, at 7:30 PM the audience will see the royal designer Raghavendra Rathore styling the handsome hunk Vivek Dahiya. A descendant of the royal family of Jodhpur, the designer is known for taking traditional Indian styles to the global level. The known patron of bandh-gala and Jodhpuri kurta style for men, Raghavendra has his share of good memories of his journey. Walking on the streets of New York, wearing his own creation, the designer was approached by an A-grade magazine to use his apparel for the cover shoot of the magazine with Johnny Depp. He also landed his job when he bumped into Oscar De la Renta in an elevator.
