An accused in the Rs 200 crore extortion case is Jacqueline Fernandez. She has been in the news for her alleged involvement in a money laundering case involving 200 crore rupees.

Jacqueline Fernandez has received several phone calls from the Enforcement Directorate on the money laundering inquiry.

Bollywood actress Jacqueline has been included as an accused in a supplemental charge sheet issued by the Enforcement Directorate in the Rs 200 crore extortion case against conman Sukesh Chandrashekar.

The Enforcement Directorate has called Jacqueline numerous times in connection with the money laundering inquiry. According to information Sukesh’s lawyer previously shared with the media, the actress is said to have dated Sukesh. Later, Jacqueline’s group denied having any association with Sukesh.

Rs 200 crore Extortion Case

In compliance with the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, the agency temporarily attached Jacqueline’s money in April, seizing a total of Rs. 7.27 crore (PMLA). She was last served with a summons for the taking of her statement in June while the organization tracked the remaining proceeds of crime in this investigation. She was questioned by the agency for eight hours.

A preliminary order was issued against her for seizing fixed deposits worth Rs. 7.12 crore and cash worth Rs. 15 lakh since the agency deemed this money to be “proceeds of crime” From the proceeds of crime, including extortion, Sukesh Chandrasekhar presented Jacqueline Fernandez a number of gifts worth Rs. 5.71 crores. In a statement, the ED said that Chandrashekhar had asked Pinky Irani, a longtime friend and co-accused in this case, to give the woman the aforementioned gifts.

Jacqueline claimed Chandrashekhar gave her two Hermes bracelets, three Gucci bags, two Chanel gym outfits, two pairs of Louis Vuitton shoes, two pairs of diamond earrings, and a bracelet comprised of multicolored stones in her testimony to the ED between August and October of last year. Fernandez continued by saying she had returned a Mini Cooper car she had received similarly. According to the agency’s research, Chandrashekhar had “regular contact” with Jacqueline Fernandez from February up until his arrest on August 7 of last year.
